It’s not that often when the whole family comes together. But when they do, I am sure we can all agree it is a special time. Especially when there is a tiny, sweet, new baby to meet. The memorable family moments truly last a lifetime. This was the case for the wonderful Groesbeck family that I met this past holiday season.
With most of the family living in south Texas, and a new baby being born in the Memphis area, they all buckled up to head slightly north-east for turkey day. It gave them a great chance to meet the newest family addition.
Traveling during the holidays is always a bit hectic. This is especially true when you have a 2 year old or infant in tow! But with a little determination and a lot of excitement, the Groesbeck made the trip a successful one!
To top off this already special occasion, Mrs. Groesbeck was sweet enough to hire me to photograph everyone! Having the family all together was something she didn’t want to forget. Of course she will be using these white and red themed portraits for the family’s yearly Christmas cards. However, her most cherished family moments will be with her newest granddaughter.
During the hour we spent together, we were able to capture the whole bunch, each individual photos, all the children and grandchildren, and grandparents with their grand babes. It was a bit cold and windy so we made sure to take a few breaks for the kids’ sake.
Don’t shy away from the opportunity you have to photograph your family. Even if it seems unattainable, a good photographer will make it as smooth and enjoyable as possible. Family portraits are truly a gift that keeps on giving. I hope your 2023 holiday season was a warm one!
