Capturing families, especially kids, is definitely something I love to do. Every session is so different and it keeps me on my toes! All of the people I’ve met have been such a blessing to me. I’ve grown so much.

I believe my personality and experience with kids are the two things that set me apart as a children’s photographer. I’m also extremely flexible. Besides on-location shoots, I offer a private outdoor venue and a little indoor photo studio in Olive Branch, Mississippi.

FAQ's About Children's Photography

What types of props and settings do you have?

If you’re looking for a backdrop, I have a custom built stand with an array of patterns and colors. I also like to bring along a handful of basic items to every shoot. These tend to include blankets, seating options, stuffed animals, toys and other props like straw bails, buckets, bins, tubs, etc.. But I always encourage parents to bring personal belongings that the children are familiar with. This aids with comfortability. During our initial phone call, let me know if you have any specific requests and I’ll do what I can to make it happen!

Does it cost more money for each additional child?

No. I have 7 children of my own. I feel as though my experience helps capture group settings. However, the more kids involved, the tougher it is to get all of us to settle down and focus. I do my best to work together. It helps us make the most of our time together.

Can I purchase additional pictures if I like them?

Yes, you can always select more photos once you’re given access to your online gallery. Packages are typically customized on the front end but pricing remains consistent. You can also request prints or other enhancements afterwards.

How do we know where to capture pictures?

The natural landscape of North Mississippi is one of my favorite parts about living here. Unless you’re looking for studio portraits, there are plenty of historic places and beautiful backdrops worth capturing. The variety of urban and rural locations do present us with some options. At the same time, the answer to this question really depends on how far you’re willing to travel. An initial discovery call helps me understand what you’re looking for and the types of settings that best suit your child’s personality. Since moving here, I’ve found a few spots worth suggesting – but where you take your pictures is inevitably up to you!

Am I an expensive or affordable photographer?

I offer customized packages and it really depends on how many digital copies you’re looking to keep, the distance I have to travel, and how much time I spend photographing and editing. I wouldn’t exactly consider myself an expensive or cheap children’s photographer. But I do take a lot of pride in what I do. Since most of my clients don’t have hundreds of dollars to spend on pictures, I do my best to work within your budget.
